VIRGIL ABLOH DIGITAL ARCHIVE
Designed as an act of discovery rather than a straight read, we built an immersive GQ.com experience for Sam Hine’s article Inside the Top Secret Virgil Abloh Archive, bringing fans inside the personal collection and creative mind of Virgil Abloh for the first time.
The story unfolds like walking through the archive itself, mixing long-form reporting with striking full-bleed imagery and tightly edited object galleries that feel pulled straight from storage boxes. A restrained design and generous whitespace let each artifact breathe, whether it’s a finished piece or a rough idea in progress. The interface stays intentionally quiet, using pacing and sequencing to echo Abloh’s habit of collecting, remixing, and reworking ideas, so the article feels less like documentation and more like thinking alongside him.
